The Recording Academy has announced a Grammy Awards special segment honoring hip-hop’s 50th anniversary.
Curated by music director and producer Questlove, the showcase will feature performances by Big Boi, Busta Rhymes with Spliff Star, De La Soul, Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Missy Elliott, Future, GloRilla, Ice-T, Lil Baby, Lil Wayne, The LOX, Method Man, Nelly, Public Enemy, Queen Latifah, Rakim, RUN-DMC, Salt-N-Pepa and Spinderella, Geto Boys’ Scarface, Swizz Beatz, Too $hort and more.
LL COOL J will introduce the segment with a dedication. Music will be provided by The Roots, and Black Thought will narrate.
The 65th Grammy Awards take place on Sunday (2/5) at the Crypto.com Arena and will be broadcast live at 8pm ET/5pm PT on CBS.
