Metro Boomin Donates $100,000 to Five Women-Focused Nonprofits in St. Louis to Honor His Mother’s Legacy.

According to reports, Metro Boomin recently shared that he will donate $100,000 to five women-focused nonprofits in his birthplace of St. Louis, Missouri in honor of his late mother’s legacy. Metro Boomin’s mother Leslie Wayne was killed in a murder-suicide by her husband in 2022.

Metro has teamed up with Rung for Women and Amazon Access to bring his initiative to life. He will gift $20,000 in individual checks to Almost Home, Diamond Diva Empowerment Foundation, the Haven of Grace, the Little Bit Foundation, and Parents as Teachers.

Speaking on the latest endeavor, Metro Boomin said in a statement,

“I’ve seen firsthand the work that goes into being a single mother. Mine was my inspiration and my hero. It’s very important to me to pay it forward, because I see the same resilience and dedication in the women these organizations work with.”

“We are excited to partner with Metro Boomin in his work to lift up single mothers in St. Louis,” said Leslie Gill, President of Rung. “Inspired by the remarkable love he has for his late mother, he is demonstrating a commitment to women and to our community.”

The grants will help women overcome struggles they may face such as debt and keeping up with living expenses.
