Boundary-breaking artist Cuco announces his highly anticipated new album “Ridin'” – a soulful homage to his Los Angeles roots will arrive May 9th via Interscope Records.
The announcement comes alongside the release of “My 45” feat Jean Carter, a soulful tribute to the bygone era of soul music that shaped his musical consciousness. This modern soul excursion reunites Cuco with fellow Angeleno Jean Carter, marking their first collaboration since “Bossa No Sé,” the breakout hit from Cuco’s debut album Para Mi. The single is paired with a music video featuring actor Xóchitl Gomez (Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Dancing With The Stars winner) as well as pro-skater Louie Lopez serving as a playful extension of the love Cuco holds for his hometown.
The project showcases Cuco’s signature blend of dreamy psychedelia, R&B, and traditional Latin influences, creating a sonic landscape that captures the essence of modern Chicano culture. The album celebrates regional touchstones: AM radio, classic soul arrangements, lush horn sections, and vintage car culture while exploring coming-of-age themes of romance and friendship.
