Fellow Wu-Tang members and hip hop artists  were quick to send their support on social media.

“Love you brother,” DJ Premier replied. “Glad we got to build 1 more time on the farewell tour at MSG. You were still loud! Sleep peacefully and may the universe welcome you with open arms.”

Grant was listed as an executive producer on all of the group’s albums, and was the CEO of the group’s clothing line, Wu-Wear.

Grant picked up acting roles including appearances in the popular films “Belly” in 1998 and “Black and White” in 1999. He was also in the 2017 film, “An Imperfect Murder.”

Our condolences go out to the Grant family.
