Rolling Loud Expands to Australia

Established as America’s biggest hip-hop festival, Rolling Loud seeks to expand its live rap empire into a global behemoth. Announcing its first concert outside the United States, Rolling Loud announces Rolling Loud Australia. Taking over Sydney Showgrounds, Olympic Park in Sydney on January 27th, 2019, Rolling Loud will bring some of the biggest names in American hip-hop across the International Date Line, along with plenty of local talent, for a nonstop day of live music. Presented in association with Sydney’s HSU Events, Rolling Loud Australia will announce its headliners within the week.

Founded in 2015 by Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif, recently the subject of a feature in the Wall Street Journal, Rolling Loud expanded from a single-day Miami festival to Hip-Hop’s biggest event. Expanding to three days and moving from Bayfront Park to Miami Gardens, Rolling Loud Miami 2018 drew its biggest crowd to date, with 135,000 venturing to Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium to see J. Cole, Travis Scott, Future, Migos, Post Malone, Lil Uzi Vert and dozens more. In September, Rolling Loud hosted Rolling Loud Bay Area 2018, which drew 40,000 fans to Oakland Coliseum over two days to see artists like Scott, Wiz Khalifa, Rae Sremmurd, and more. Rolling Loud is currently putting the finishing touches on Rolling Loud Los Angeles, occurring on December 14th and 15th at the Banc of California Stadium Grounds in Downtown L.A.

Zingler and Cherif said: “After back to back sell-outs in Miami and Rolling Loud-branded festivals and experiences across the US, we’re thrilled to make our Australian debut. Rap music is the most popular and fastest growing genre of music and the world deserves to experience curated line-ups of its biggest stars and hottest new talent”.
