Independent GRAMMY Award-winning artist Chance the Rapper announces Chicago legend Twista and rising star Young Roddo to join him for his Ravinia Festival debut this Saturday, August 8, at Hunter Pavilion in Highland Park.

At nine years old, Young Roddo has emerged as one of Chicago’s newest viral artists following the release of “Bad Grades.” Joining him is Twista, one of Chicago’s most influential hip-hop artists, whose landmark releases Adrenaline Rush and Kamikaze, along with hits like “Slow Jamz” and “Overnight Celebrity,” helped define the city’s sound for a generation. Together with Chance, the lineup brings three generations of Chicago hip-hop to the Ravinia stage.

The performance comes during the 10th anniversary of Chance’s groundbreaking 2016 mixtape, Coloring Book. Blending hip-hop, gospel, and soulful live instrumentation, the project featured collaborations with Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Kirk Franklin, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, T-Pain, and Saba, alongside production from longtime collaborators Nico Segal, Peter Cottontale, and The Social Experiment.

With Coloring Book, Chance became the first independent artist to win a GRAMMY with a streaming-only project, earning Best New Artist, Best Rap Album, and Best Rap Performance for “No Problem” featuring Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz. The mixtape helped reshape conversations around streaming, artist independence, and what an independent release could accomplish.

Presented by Ravinia and WGCI, the performance begins at 7 p.m., with public gates opening at 5 p.m. The show also serves as Chance’s final hometown performance before launching The Coloring Book 10 Year Anniversary Tour on August 11 in Cleveland. The North American run includes stops in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Nashville, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and more before concluding October 11 in Pittsburgh.
