SURVIVING TRAP MUSIC: The Untold Story of Gucci Mane & S.Y.S. is an explosive new documentary exposing the alleged shady dealings of Gucci Mane towards his former rap group S.Y.S. The serious accusations from S.Y.S. include that Gucci Mane stole his first hit record “Icy” from the group and completely abandoned them soon after. The 90-minute doc is set to hit the North American film festival circuit on the heels of Gucci Mane and his wife Keyshia Ka’oir breaking the internet with their candid conversation on The Breakfast Club, where they opened up about his mental health struggles.

The Untold Story of Gucci Mane & S.Y.S. is a feature documentary chronicling the emergence of several street hustlers who formed the rap group S.Y.S. which stands for Sign Ya Self Records. This 90-minute documentary is an intimate and revealing portrait of rap superstar Gucci Mane’s formative days with S.Y.S and their quest for fame and fortune in the competitive music industry as they hustled in the rough streets of East Atlanta, Georgia in the early 2000s. Atlanta is the birthplace of Trap Music. Spanning 2002 to 2006 – We tell the S.Y.S. story that is filled with talent, family, betrayal, controversy and heartbreak. The film explores the trials and successes of Gucci Mane and S.Y.S. through never-before-seen footage, unreleased music and untold stories.
