Atlanta rapper Darren Waller is keeping the summer heat going strong with the release of his second consecutive EP, On Notice: Bag Talk.
This follows closely on the heels of last month’s well-received project, Mind Games: It’s All In Your Head. The latest 4-track release showcases Darren’s lyrical prowess as he dives deep into a range of themes, from his relentless competitive drive (“Bag Talk”) and moments of self-reflection (“Day In The Life”) to the sources of his motivation (“On Notice”) and the strength of his faith (“Summer On Fremont”). With On Notice: Bag Talk, Waller continues to solidify his presence in the music scene, delivering content that’s both introspective and inspiring.
“As I’m focusing on putting my album together, I definitely didn’t want to let these 4 tracks go to waste. Recording outside in my backyard this spring and summer has helped me tap into the all the different characters that make up who I am as an artist, and these are some of the first few songs I made after my change in studio environment. I combined two of the song titles again and named it On Notice: Bag Talk because it’s definitely my most aggressive release to date. But like Kendrick said, ‘Sometimes you gotta..’ :),” explains Waller.
