Tim Glover Appointed New President of A&R At PULSE Music Group.

PULSE Records has hired former Executive VP of A&R at Interscope Geffen A&M, Tim Glover as the new President of A&R, as announced per PULSE Music Group co-CEOs Josh Abraham and Scott Cutler and PULSE Music Group President Ashley Calhoun. In his new role, Glover will sign and develop artists and oversee recording projects for PULSE Records. He will report jointly to Abraham, Cutler, and Calhoun, based in the company’s offices in Silverlake.

Glover has a wealth of experience. At Interscope, he worked closely with J. Cole and artists on the rapper’s Dreamville imprint, including JID and Ari Lennox. He also oversaw A&R for the Atlanta-based record label and creative agency LVRN, which entered a joint venture with Interscope in 2016. Glover played a crucial role in developing LVRN artists like Summer Walker and 6LACK. He also signed platinum-selling rapper Lil Mosey, Tierra Whack, and rising star Jordan Ward.

Abraham, Cutler, and Calhoun commented on the appointment: “Tim’s creative ability has led him to sign and work with some of the world’s top recording artists. We want our artists at PULSE Records to work with the very best in executive talent, and Tim will be a key part of the team as we continue to build. We know that Tim will bring his incredible creative instincts, business acumen, and experience to this new position and that he will continue to inspire and launch countless PULSE Records artists along the way.”

Glover expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “The PULSE team is synonymous with artist creativity, artist development, building a strong creative community, and they go out of their way to customize their A&R strategies to the unique needs of each and every artist. What Scott, Josh, and Ashley have built at PULSE is extremely re-energizing – I’m honored and excited to join the team and look forward to big things ahead.”

In June 2023, PULSE Music Group (PMG) and Concord launched PULSE Records, the latest vertical for (PMG), which already boasts a music publishing and artist management arm. PULSE Records capitalizes on PMG’s ability to invest in the highest levels of creative talent, supported by Concord’s existing label services platform and administrative teams.

PULSE Records recently formed an artist development joint venture with ISO Supremacy, the new record label founded by multi-platinum recording artist and PMG publishing client Brent Faiyaz. Through the deal, PMG and Faiyaz signed Tommy Richman to PULSE Records. Richman opened for Faiyaz on the sold-out F*ck the World It’s A Wasteland Tour.
