Stem Announces Hiring Of Former Interscope And Tik Tok Staff, Nima Khalilian & Didi Purcell.

Today, Stem announces the addition of two new staff members to their Artist and Label divisions. The company welcomes new hires Didi Purcell and Nima Khalilian who bring a collective 10+ years of experience to their respective teams. Nima Khalilian joins Stem from Interscope as Head of International, Artist & Label Strategy and Didi Purcell assumes her Artist & Label Partnerships role at Stem from SoundOn, TikTok’s music distribution and artist services platform.

The additions follow Stem’s previous announcement of staff promotions for Seth Faber (General Manager), Todd Perry (VP of Artist & Label Relations, Hip-Hop & R&B), Natalie Sellers (Senior Director of Artist & Label Commerce & Partnerships), and Lexi Roney (Director of Brand Marketing) and points to the company’s greater commitment to empowering independent musicians and labels with the tools and infrastructure to operate autonomously in 2024.

Nima Khalilian (joins as Head of International, Artist & Label Strategy)

Nima Khalilian brings a wealth of experience to Stem, having spent six years at Interscope as the Senior Director of International Marketing. In this pivotal role, he dedicated himself to expanding the company’s revenue beyond the U.S. borders while simultaneously cultivating the brand and revenue of artists worldwide. Nima’s strategic prowess and collaborative approach allowed him to work closely with a diverse array of artists, ranging from Karol G, Zack Bia, CMG’s Yo Gotti, GloRilla, Moneybagg Yo, and many more.

A proud alum of VCU Brandcenter, Nima blends his extensive background in both advertising agencies and record labels. This unique fusion of skills positions him as a visionary leader at the intersection of creative marketing and the global music industry.

With a keen eye for emerging trends and a deep understanding of international markets, Nima is dedicated to shaping Stem’s international strategy, propelling artists to new heights, and fostering a global community of creative excellence. His journey is a testament to the harmonious blend of artistry and strategy, making him a dynamic force in the international music landscape.

Didi Purcell (joins as Artist & Label Partnerships)

Didi Purcell comes to Stem from the Artist & Label Partnerships team for SoundOn, TikTok’s music distribution and artist services platform. While at TikTok, Didi oversaw key partnerships for SoundOn including Death Row Records, Grimes, and more.

Prior to her time at SoundOn, Didi oversaw Pop & Dance/Electronic playlisting at Interscope Records for over three years, working on key Interscope artists such as Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, OneRepublic, DJ Snake, and more. In addition, Didi’s experience in electronic music began at booking agency AM Only/Paradigm in 2016.

Didi is a proud New Jersey native and a graduate of Villanova University.
