Leading cryptocurrency personalities in the US will gather at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C., on Friday, January 17 for the “Crypto Ball.” The event celebrates in advance the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States (POTUS) on the following Monday, January 20. Most importantly, it commemorates the assumption of office of the first-ever “crypto president” in US history.
David Sacks, Trump’s newly-appointed AI (artificial intelligence) and Crypto Czar, is reportedly spearheading the occasion. Microstrategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, and other big names in the industry are expected to grace the event.
The organizers have also confirmed that Snoop Dogg will be performing there.
