Snoop Dogg Headed to ‘Hitman: World Of Assassination’

IO Interactive, the independent video game developer and publisher behind, among others, the internationally acclaimed HITMAN franchise and the recently released 007 First Light, has just announced Snoop Dogg is being added to Hitman: World Of Assassination game as part of the new The Herbalist mission. These missions can only be attempted one time, and if the player fails to assassinate the target, they’ll lose access to the mission.

Snoop will appear in The Herbalist as Dr Crysu Cane, the next Elusive Target that will be featured in the game. Elusive Targets are temporary missions in the Hitman franchise that often see famous faces appear in-game as targets for Agent 47 to take down.

“It’s definitely an honor to step into a franchise as legendary as Hitman, with millions of fans. IO Interactive cooked up a truly fine mission, and bringing my son Cordell along for the ride? That’s awesome,” said Snoop in a statement. “The final ingredient that’s missing is how much style the players are going to be able to bring, so let’s see what you can do against Dr. Cyrus Cane.”

In the trailer, Agent 47 is shown blending in as a cameraman, a music producer, and more. As referenced in the title, the mission will seemingly heavily lean on weed humour and weed-based items.

The Herbalist will join Hitman World of Assassination on August 27 and will be available until September 26.

Already this year, Wiz Khalifa, Eminem and Dmitri Vegas have joined Hitman: World Of Assassination as elusive targets.
