Ravyn Lenae – ‘Bird’s Eye’ album

Ravyn Lenae releases her highly anticipated sophomore album Bird’s Eye via Atlantic Records. The album includes previously released singles “One Wish” featuring Childish Gambino, “Dream Girl” with Ty Dolla $ign, “Love Me Not,” and “Love Is Blind.” Executive produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dahi (Kendrick Lamar, Steve Lacy, Kelela, SZA), Bird’s Eye showcases Ravyn’s ability to effortlessly synthesize the genres that have informed her artistry to date while expanding her sonic universe across the most layered, soul-bearing music of her career.

Bird’s Eye arrives two years after Lenae’s groundbreaking debut HYPNOS, which garnered her critical acclaim from the likes of NPR, Pitchfork, Harper’s Bazaar, Billboard, The Guardian and The Washington Post, among others. The period between the release of HYPNOS and Bird’s Eye was marked by the kind of radical change expected of someone in their early twenties, though particularly acute for Lenae on the heels of finding herself catapulted onto the global stage. The growth experienced in that time is best evidenced by Bird’s Eye – a body of work in which Lenae has let herself explore her musical desires free of expectations about what she should sound like, aided by Dahi’s collaboration.

Speaking about this personal evolution she shares:

“One of the most beautiful things about making ‘Bird’s Eye’ was the amount of reflection that was required to truly tell a story that felt clear and honest. Digging into the nooks + crannies of my journey so far was so rewarding in many ways, but it’s most meaningful when it manifests into tangible change in my life.”

Ahead of her headline tour this fall, Ravyn will play Aminé’s The Best Day Ever Fest in his hometown of Portland, Oregon this weekend and reunite with former tourmate Omar Apollo for a one-off performance at the storied Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre on September 26th.
