Peach Tree Rascals – “Airplane Window”

San Jose collective Peach Tree Rascals return with their new single “Airplane Window.”

Keeping in line with the with the breezy west-coast sound their music embodies, “Airplane Window” is a sonic manifestation of the “sun-soaked world” the collective continues to build for listeners, wrapping them in a cocoon of hazy synth keyboards. The single follows their most recent offerings “HIGHWITCHA,” “Rendezvous” and their recent collaboration with AG Club “COLD OUTSIDE,” setting the stage for a new era for Peach Tree Rascals following a two-year hiatus since their 2022 release End of Time EP.

Composed of vocalists Pech, Pizano, Joseph Barros, Tarrek Abdel-Khaliq and their creative director Jorge Olazaba, the group began as friends who grew into making music together as an escape from the doldrums of the college experience and an expression of their collective experience as second-generation immigrant Americans. As a group, the Peach Tree Rascals first emerged onto the scene behind breakout hit “Mariposa,” which went viral on TikTok in 2020—appearing in over 1.6M videos and peaking at number 1 on the Billboard Indie chart. The band’s subsequent EPs —Camp Nowhere (2021) and End of Time (2022), cultivated an international fan base (leading to massive tours across Europe and Asia).

In the time since, the Peach Tree Rascals receded from music for a period of growth and reflection, contemplating how to build on their early success independently and for themselves. Now, they’re revitalized with a new collection of intricate and accessible pop tunes coming this Summer and awaiting the launch of their recently-announced For You tour, which begins June 3rd in Seattle. This upcoming tour will see them play 19 dates across North America with Monét Ngo and FIG including shows in Austin, Atlanta, Brooklyn, Toronto, and concluding with a night at Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre.
