Miguel, returns with his highly anticipated single “Always Time” via ByStorm Entertainment/RCA Records.
Written and produced by Miguel and co-produced by Jeff Bhasker and Dave Sitek “Always Time” showcases the power and vulnerability of Miguel’s voice in an intimate portrait of heartbreak and introspection. “This may be the most difficult song I’ve ever had to write – for all of the life lessons and experiences that live between each line,” says Miguel. “I’m grateful for the closure it has given me and know it’s the most honest way to begin this chapter of my artistry and relationship with my audience.”
“Always Time” is the first taste of a new era from the artist. This release follows the resurgence of his massive hit single “Sure Thing,” which eclipsed its original #1 spot on R&B radio – taking #1 on Billboard’s Pop Chart. To date, Miguel has released four critically acclaimed studio albums– All I Want Is You, Kaleidoscope Dream, Wildheart and War & Leisure which have earned him several #1’s and garnered a total of 13 GRAMMY nominations.
Over the last decade, Miguel has established himself as a consummate artist who is unafraid to follow his creative impulses. Often referred to as a once-in-a-generation talent, Miguel captivates his fans through his emotive songwriting, rich production, and powerful live performances.
The son of a Mexican father and an African-American mother, Miguel Jontel Pimentel grew up in San Pedro, a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood in Southern Los Angeles. He developed a passion for music early in life – both his parents being music lovers. His GRAMMY-Award-winning “Adorn” was RIAA certified 3x Platinum and is just one of his 15 songs to hit the Billboard Hot 100.
As the recipient of 13 GRAMMY nominations, it’s no surprise Miguel’s previous two albums debuted at #1 on Billboard’s R&B Albums Chart, of which Wildheart debuted at #2 on Billboard’s top 200 albums. Most recently, in 2023, his single “Sure Thing” went viral on TikTok with over 23 million Creations as it not only broke the record for the most weeks ever spent on Hot R&B/Hip Hop Chart (totaling 78 weeks), but also surged to #1 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay Chart.
Boasting a resume full of solo hits, as well as collaborations with Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, J. Cole, Tame Impala, Travis Scott, and A$AP Rocky among others, Miguel has proven himself to be one of R&B’s all-time sonic visionaries.
