French Montana Receives U.S. Citizenship

French Montana is officially a U.S. citizen, and his first official American cause of action – hittin tha club.

French received his citizenship Wednesday and shared a video singing the U.S. National Anthem. Holding up his right hand, French tried his best to get through the words, and even threw in a little improv about getting his passport.

French immigrated from Morocco to the United States at the age of 13, but he hasn’t lost sight of his roots throughout his expansive career. Not only did he film the video for his No. 1 hit single there, made a donation of $100,000 to the Mama Hope Foundation, an organization that works to end extreme poverty.
