The 31-year-old rapper is leading the pack in this years Bet Hip Hop Awards with 11 nominations. The list of nominations released revealed that he is nominated in categories including Best Hip-Hop Video and Single of the Year for God’s Plan, as well as Album of the Year for Scorpion.
Cardi B received ten nominations, she will be battling Drake to win Best Hip-Hop Video and Single of the Year for I Like It, and Album of the Year for Invasion of Privacy. She’s additionally been recognised for her eclectic fashion sense in the Made-You-Look-Award (Best Hip-Hop Style Category), where she’ll go head to head with rival Nicki Minaj and rap trio Migos, featuring her husband Offset.
Childish Gambino is next in the list of top nominees, having been nominated in six categories, while Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar will be hoping to take home a maximum of five gongs. J.Cole, Post Malone and Beyonce and JAY-Z’s The Carters have also received nominations at the awards, which will return to The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater on 6 October, and BET Networks will premiere the annual telecast on 16 October.
