Cypress Hill is set to release a new graphic novel titled CYPRESS HILL: BLACK SUNDAY.
Developed with the band, writers Noah Callahan-Bever and Gabriel Alvarez take you on a narrative trip through the making of the album as the artwork of Ken Knudsten, Sebastian Piriz, Giorgio Pontrelli, Felix Ruiz and Guillermo Sanno immersing you deep in the vibe and historic cultural events that surrounded Cypress Hill as they brought Black Sunday to life. The book dives deep into the legendary story behind Cypress Hill’s rise to superstardom.
“We called it Black Sunday because we’re Raiders fans and also Black Sabbath fans,” B-Real said in a press release about the graphic novel. “So Black Sunday felt like an appropriate title for the album. We tried to match the imagery up with what we were putting down musically.”
With new cover ART by the original album cover designer, Jay Papke, this is a tribute that is truly Insane in the Brain!
