In a special ceremony on Monday night, rap legend and New York native, Busta Rhymes, was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the music industry.

As part of the celebration of hip-hop’s 50th year, the New York State Assembly presented Rhymes with a citation highlighting some of his recent milestones.

These achievements include his remarkable career spanning over 30 years as a professional artist, gracing the cover of Ebony Magazine for the first time, and the imminent release of his eleventh studio album.
