Karri Releases New EP ‘SLIDER II’ + Shares New Video for “Risky”

The Bay Area’s burgeoning star Karri releases his new EP SLIDER II via PFL (Playing For Legacy). The project is a focused evolution of the groundwork he laid with last year’s debut EP Late Nite Slider Music, which introduced his own strand of contemporary R&B, steeped in soul influences and paying homage to the musical legacy of the wider Bay Area. SLIDER II includes previously-released singles “strip” and “go” featuring Kehlani, along with additional guest features from Leon Bridges, Hunxho, Pimmie and Grammy award-winner Dre Moon (Beyonce, The Weeknd, Future).

Earlier this week, Karri released EP cut “Risky” with visuals directed by Emmy nominated director Dave Laven (A$AP Rocky, Sam Austins, Kilo Kish), which captures Karri on a late night in San Francisco. This video is the first in a series of cinematic cuts from the project directed by Laven that will drop over the next several weeks.

SLIDER II is a statement of intent for Karri entering 2026 as one of R&B’s innovative new voices championed by peers like Lil Baby, Drake and Kehlani. The project widens the aperture of what listeners can expect from Karri’s sound, ranging from the sultry late-night croons of his debut, to upbeat, Bay Area hip-hop influenced tracks that are meant to be played loud in the car or the club. 2025 has been a year of relentless growth for the 22-year-old, opening the year being hailed by Billboard as their R&B Rookie of the Month, touring with Isaiah Falls and playing Wireless Festival in London. It’s also been a year of honing his craft, making SLIDER II while simultaneously collaborating with a diverse set of artists including Joe Kay of Soulection, Goapele, Jack Dine and more.
