Trae tha Truth Helps Those Impacted By Severe Storm In Houston With his Relief Gang.
Trae tha Truth and his Relief Gang have mobilized to help Houstonians impacted by Thursday’s severe storm, which caused widespread damage, power outages to thousands of homes and at least four deaths.
Trae and the Relief Gang were seen clearing cars of heavy tree branches brought down by the storm. He posted a video on Instagram Thursday evening, telling those who need help to tag or DM the Relief Gang account for assistance. “We got people coming out on all sides and we’re just going to try and do whatever we can,” Trae said from a car, donning a yellow raincoat.

Trae and local DJ Mr. Rogers created Relief Gang in the wake of Hurricane Harvey to help locals in the aftermath of the storm and resultant floods. Since 2017, the volunteer group has come to the aid of those impacted by natural disasters in Houston and beyond, hosted food and voter registration drives, and teamed up with Houston Rockets point guard John Wall to offer rent relief after the 2021 winter storm.
