Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel Joins Diddy Criminal Defense Team.

Diddy has hired Brian Steel (the defense attorney behind Young Thug’s RICO case). The addition comes just a few weeks before jury selection begins on May 5.

Steel has submitted a motion to the court seeking permission to join Diddy’s legal team. Steel represented Young Thug during the rapper’s nearly two-year trial related to his YSL gang and racketeering case in Atlanta.

Diddy had also expressed interest in retaining Joe Tacopina, the prominent trial attorney who previously represented A$AP Rocky in his Swedish legal battle.

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to allegations he trafficked multiple women under a “criminal enterprise” that used violence, threats, and manipulation to fulfill Combs’ “sexual gratification.” He has been in custody at a federal detention center in Brooklyn since his arrest last September.

Diddy’s trial is scheduled to commence with jury selection on May 5, followed by opening statements on May 12.
