Xzibit has inked a deal with Connor McGregor’s Greenback Recs. McGregor announced the news on social media stating that Xzibit will be releasing new music for the first time since 2012. Xzibit’s Kingmaker album is scheduled to be released on October 11, and the rapper will take part in a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event the following day.

McGregor is juiced about the partnership, stating:
“We are so excited to launch some new, fresh music out of yourself, an icon in the game and a legend in the industry. Let’s go, Xzibit. Let’s go, Greenback Records.”
“To be able to come in and offer music artists a fair deal and properly reward them for their talent,” McGregor noted earlier this year. “This industry, like others, has needed an overhaul for a long time.”
McGregor is working with Richard Buck and Julian O’Brien to establish a platform that aids artists and encourages creativity. As Greenback Records expands its roster, McGregor is optimistic that Xzibit will be the first of many artists who seek a fair chance in the music industry. McGregor’s success in various industries has led fans and followers to be eager to see how his latest venture unfolds and if Xzibit’s new music will mark a resounding return to the hip-hop scene. McGregor and Xzibit will be focusing on this new chapter as Kingmaker’s release date approaches.
