Sony Music Publishing announced today the signing of breakthrough singer, songwriter and artist Odeal to a worldwide publishing agreement.

At just 25 years old, Odeal has quickly emerged as one of music’s most dynamic new voices, capturing audiences around the globe with his unique sound that blends Afro-fusion, Alté, and R&B. Odeal has collaborated with renowned artists including Leon Thomas, and received praise from artists like SZA, Victoria Monét, Justin Bieber and more.

His project The Summer That Saved Me, released earlier this summer and featuring the hit track “Miami, which broke into Spotify’s Global Viral chart, has generated over 23M global streams to-date, further expanding his creative reach across genres and borders.

Odeal’s latest release, The Fall That Saved Me (November 21), continues his creative storytelling with his annual tradition of delivering moody, winter-themed R&B ballads.

Odeal’s global impact has been further solidified this year with distinct honors including two 2025 MOBO awards for Best Newcomer and Best R&B Act; a nomination for BET’s first-ever Best New International Act award; and recognition as Billboard’s 2025 African Rookie of the Year, Amazon Music’s 2025 Breakthrough Artist, Spotify’s 2025 Artist to Watch, and a member of YouTube Music’s 2025 Foundry program.

Odeal was born in Germany and raised in Spain, the UK and Nigeria before settling down in the UK when he was 17. His career first took off with his self-produced single “Be Easy,” which received praise from legendary artist Tiwa Savage. Odeal’s success reached new heights with the release of “Soh Soh,” which sparked a viral TikTok dance challenge. His winning momentum continued with the release of his 2022 EP Lustropolis, which has garnered over 80M worldwide streams to-date and features hits including the Aaliyah interpolating single “Temptress” and “You’re Stuck” with Summer Walker.
