Snoop Dogg Set to Headline Long Beach Amphitheater Grand Opening.
The Long Beach Amphitheater officially opens with a landmark night in the city’s music history as Long Beach native and global icon Snoop Dogg will headline the venue’s grand opening on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
This inaugural event marks a defining cultural moment for Long Beach, bringing one of its most influential artists home to open the stage. With a legacy rooted in the LBC and the historic impact of VIP Records (shot his debut solo music video, “Who Am I, What’s My Name,” on the roof of the store). West Coast hip-hop’s foundation was enshrined by local legends like Snoop, Nate Dogg, and Warren G.
Snoop Dogg’s return sets the tone for a new era of live music on the waterfront.
The 11,000-seat Long Beach Amphitheater’s grand opening celebration on Saturday, June 6, lists Snoop Dogg and “Friends,” but details about who the “friends” . His “friends” set to perform have not yet been disclosed.
