Nicki Minaj took to social media taking shots at Jay Z, scolding Jay for overlooking Lil Wayne during the Super Bowl Halftime Show earlier this year in New Orleans. She also congratulated fans calling out Jay for his deal with TIDAL, claiming he allegedly owed Nicki money.
In 2021, Tidal was sold to Square, a company owned by Jack Dorsey, for $302 million. Despite the sale, Minaj claimed she and the other original stakeholders kept their shares.
She revealed that she was offered only $1 million for her share, which she said is far less than the $9 million it should have been worth, based on the sale price.
Minaj believes Jay owes her between $100 and $200 million, and she’s promising to give some of it back to her Barbz fans to pay for their education, which she’s made a habit of doing in the past.
She also brought up Roc Nation’s CEO Desiree Perez being pardoned by President Donald Trump.
Looks like just jabs for now, we’ll see how it plays out. Jay-Z/Roc Nation have not publicly responded to Minaj’s claims.
