On Monday, the late rapper’s team confirmed that a fall 2019 co-branded apparel collection between Puma and Hussle’s TMC brand (short for The Marathon Continues) will be available on September 5.
“Nipsey spearheaded this project from concept to final product over the course of last year, flying to meetings, reviewing samples, bringing in material references he liked, and most importantly ensuring that it reflected his style authentically with no compromise,” an Instagram post confirming the collaboration read.
“This project is very special to our team and we’re handling it with the utmost care to ensure it’s delivered exactly as Nipsey envisioned it.”
Hussle shared a video with the announcement on his Instagram page on March 4 — just one month before he was gunned down outside of his clothing store in Los Angeles. In June, Puma erected billboards with Hussle posing in a prayer position around Los Angeles.
Before his death, Hussle served as an ambassador for the brand, starring in several ad campaigns and curating a selection of shoppable favorites for the website, from sneakers to tracksuits. Other celebrity ambassadors and designers for Puma include Selena Gomez and Rihanna. Source: NY Post
