Pugs Atomz – “Mookie On The Southside”

Pugs Atomz continues to innovate the form with “Mookie On The Southside”, an audio companion to his art show of the same name. The multitalented artisan tributes his Chicago experience in cinematic fashion, in the same way his art exhibit did during its multiple week run. The 12-song release is skillfully produced by DJ Real One & Cache 22, and features inspired turns by Thaione Davis, Shawn Dippington, Hexsagon, & more.

Background: Pugs Atomz has discovered the secret of multiplicity. From his graffiti works gracing the Usher Raymond/Rosario Dawson film Light It Up, to his over 30 stellar music releases as a super-powered MC, to founding the infamous Nacrobats crew, whose alum includes MC/book author Psalm One, MC/TV producer/comedian Open Mike Eagle, renown painter Hebru Brantley, and streetwear brand Jugrnaut, the phrase “staying busy” doesn’t BEGIN to tell the story. His effect on the culture is stamped and certified, and keeps growing.
