OutKast Nominated for 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has revealed its nominees for induction in 2025. OutKast are among the nominees and are a first time ballot selection.

OutKast, [ André 3000 (André Benjamin) and Big Boi (Antwan Patton)] redefined hip-hop with their genre-blending sound and relentless innovation, proving the “Dirty South” could compete with rap music’s long-standing East and West Coast scenes. OutKast’s distinctive sound – a blend of funk, soul, and jazz with introspective storytelling – helped them become one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful hip-hop groups of all-time. With massive tracks like “Hey Ya!,” OutKast challenged every norm, defied every genre, and pushed every boundary.

“These remarkable nominees have each created their own musical style and attitude impacting generations of music lovers and contributing to the ever evolving sounds and continued growth of rock ‘n’ roll,” said John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation.

Those selected for induction will be revealed in late April with the 2025 ceremony set for this fall in Los Angeles on a yet-to-be-announced date.

This year’s list features 14 nominees – including eight who have landed on the ballot for the first time!
