Written and produced by LAILA!, “Miss Mango” further showcases multifaceted artistry first introduced on her critically acclaimed, fully self-written and self-produced 2024 debut album, Gap Year!. Equal parts playful, confident and empowering, the breezy anthem is for anyone who has ever lost themselves chasing someone else’s validation before rediscovering their own worth.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the song, LAILA! shares:

“‘Miss Mango’ tells the tale of a girl who loses herself for love. She centers her life around a guy who couldn’t care less about her, constantly seeking his attention and validation. The message goes out to all the Miss Mangoes out there. Fuck that dude. You’re so much more beautiful, colorful and rich inside than you realize.”
