Kali Uchis has signed with Capitol Records. The deal extends her long-standing partnership with Capitol Chairman/CEO Tom March (formerly president of Geffen), and thanks to the structure of Interscope Capitol, she’ll also be able to further her relationship with IGA EVP of A&R Matt Morris, whom she’s been with since 2018.
“Kali Uchis is not only a true artist with a unique vision and an incredible amount of talent—she’s also a culture-shifting force of nature,” March said. “Her music transcends boundaries and borders, and it’s an honor and a privilege to continue to head into this new era together.”
Kali is preparing for the release of her fifth album, Sincerely, which she announced on Monday (3/17) via social media.
The R&B star revealed the name of her upcoming LP, Sincerely, which is expected this year.
The video shows the singer writing the news about the album in a note and sealing it, before walking away in a different outfit. “I dream of a home that even time will lie down and be still for. A place where everything works out the way it should,” Uchis says in the short video. “Sincerely.”
