According to reports, EST Gee’s Manager Devontae Beach was fatally shot. He was discovered in his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds following a shooting that occurred this past Sunday, early morning. Police responded to calls about the shooting that happened a couple of blocks from the KFC Yum! Center in downtown Louisville at around 1:30 a.m. First responders arrived on the scene not long after the shooting and pronounced Beach dead. He was only 31 years old.

EST Gee performed in his hometown for the first time in four years right before the shooting went down. His “EST Gee + Friends Summer Jam” concert at the Yum! Center featured guest appearances from Yo Gotti, 42 Dugg, Lil Baby, Icewear Vezzo and others. In the days leading up to the event, police reportedly received tips about potential violence that could occur at the concert. The venue decided to move forward with the show with increased security.
