Following the release of his record-breaking #1 third album The Boy Who Played the Harp, Dave returns with the official video for standout track “Chapter 16” featuring Kano. Directed by Harrison Adair, the video brings together two generations of UK rap for a powerful meeting of the minds, delivering a masterclass in lyricism, emotion, and storytelling.
Last month, Dave’s album The Boy Who Played the Harp landed straight in at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart, becoming the first British rap act to debut three albums at Number 1 on the UK Chart, following 2019’s PSYCHODRAMA and 2021’s We’re All Alone In This Together. The Boy Who Played the Harp has already surpassed 200 million streams across all platforms and amassed a huge 74,000 UK chart sales in its first seven days, cementing it as the second biggest opening week for a British album this year.
Dave also became the second British rapper in Official Chart history to secure three Top 40 singles simultaneously, with the Dave and Tems’ collaboration “Raindance” debuting at number #5, History landing at #9, followed by Chapter 16 at #11. “Raindance” has since spent an impressive four weeks in the UK top 10, solidifying its impact on the charts.
