Ace Hood Delivers New Project ‘S.O.U.L.’

Platinum recording artist Ace Hood released his new project, ‘S.O.U.L.’, today via Hood Nation Records/Sony Orchard. The title, an acronym for “Some of Us Lose,” reflects the idea that personal growth often requires letting go. The fourteen-track project captures Ace’s current mental and spiritual state—focused, evolved, and intentionally grounded.

“Sometimes you need to lose part of you that no longer serves you in order to move yourself to the next level,” says Ace. “Some of us lose in order to win again.”

‘S.O.U.L.’ marks the third and final installment in Ace Hood’s trilogy, following ‘M.I.N.D.’ and ‘B.O.D.Y.,’ and offers a deeper reflection of his personal evolution and artistic independence. The project blends soulful instrumentation with hard-hitting 808s, creating a dynamic soundscape that underscores both resilience and vulnerability. Standout tracks include “Georgia Lyric,” a raw and emotional tribute to his grandmother and late daughter, and “Live and Learn,” which reflects on lessons drawn from hardship and growth. Additional highlights like “Yes He Is” and “Even After the Rain” explore themes of faith, identity, and healing. “This is the embodiment of my integrated self,” Ace shares. “It’s inspiring and honest, and I’m expressing all the different versions of me.” Produced in collaboration with a global roster of driven creatives, the project emphasizes Ace’s commitment to authenticity, musicality, and telling real human stories.

On the lead single “That Mode,” produced by ISM (Chris Brown, French Montana, Dani Leigh) Ace blends raw energy with lyrical prowess and captures the intensity and purpose that defines his long-standing career. He seamlessly weaves in themes of inner growth, navigating adversity, and sustaining focus in the face of pressure, money, and temptation. In the visual, we find Ace moving through his daily routine, determined and free from distractions, delivering his verses directly to the camera, his presence grounded and deliberate. Ace subtly teases the unreleased track “Righteous Sins” in the final moments of the video.

Earlier this year, in February, Ace Hood released the lead single for ‘S.O.U.L.’, “Mister Hood,” a soul-filled track that explores themes of identity, legacy, and self-mastery. In the song, Ace reflects on his evolution as both a man and an artist, asserting a clear vision rooted in discipline and spiritual alignment. With layered storytelling, “Mister Hood” underscores the intentionality driving this next chapter of his career.

The South Florida native first broke through as a star on DJ Khaled’s We The Best label, earning platinum plaques and Top 10 chart success. In recent years, he’s focused on creative autonomy, mental clarity, and message-driven music. This focus has led to projects like Trust the Process and Mr. Hood, which are under his independent imprint, Hood Nation.

With ‘S.O.U.L.’, Ace continues to build a legacy rooted in hits, intention, and transformation.
