G Herbo Returns to Chicago for Second Annual Swerv & Friends Birthday Bash.

October 30, 2026

G Herbo is bringing his annual Swerv & Friends Birthday Bash back to his hometown for a second year, taking over the iconic United Center on November 6th

Following a sold-out inaugural event at Wintrust Arena in 2025, Swerv & Friends returns on an even bigger stage, bringing together some of hip-hop’s biggest names alongside Chicago’s own talent for a one-night-only celebration.

Last year’s event, held in honor of Herbo’s 30th birthday, featured appearances and performances from 21 Savage, Meek Mill, Polo G, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Hunxho, Nardo Wick, Skilla Baby, 42 Dugg, Queen Key, YK Niece, and more. The evening marked a milestone in Herbo’s career, bringing together longtime collaborators, friends, and fans to celebrate his journey from Chicago’s East Side to becoming one of the city’s most influential hip-hop artists.

Now entering its second year, Swerv & Friends continues to build on that legacy, bringing the celebration to one of Chicago’s most recognizable entertainment venues.

In 2025, G Herbo released Lil Herb, a project that marked a return to the sound, energy, and storytelling that first introduced him to the world. Nearly fifteen years into his career, the album served as both a return to fundamentals and the closing of a chapter, revisiting the experiences, relationships, and environment that shaped him growing up on Chicago’s East Side. Building on that foundation, Lil Herb: Lil Heroin Edition expands the project even further, taking its title from the very first rap name he adopted as a child, before “Lil Herb,” before the mixtapes, and before his music carried his name beyond his neighborhood of 79th and Essex.

Throughout the deluxe, Herbo moves between reflection and survival. “DND” featuring Ty Dolla $ign finds him protecting his peace, while records like “Steel” and “Go” channel the hunger and intensity that first defined his sound. Fan-favorite “Thug” finally receives an official release after being teased for years, alongside collaborations with Polo G, Skilla Baby, YK Dee, Big Opp, and Doowop. Together, Lil Herb and Lil Herb: Lil Heroin Edition form a sonic memoir of his evolution, rooted in the experiences, relationships, and Chicago upbringing that continue to shape his music.
