The cast for Universal’s upcoming Snoop Dogg biopic just got a lot deeper. The film, simply titled Snoop, is officially locking in some massive names from hip-hop history to tell the definitive story of the Doggfather.

We already know Jonathan Daviss is taking on the lead role of Snoop, but now we’ve got a look at who’s filling out his inner circle and his legendary peers. According to Variety, rising artist SwayvoTwain has landed the role of The Notorious B.I.G., while Bentley Green will play RBX, and West Coast staple G Perico is stepping in as Big Reecie Cup.

The Notorious B.I.G. (Christopher Wallace): As the undisputed face of East Coast gangsta rap, Biggie was portrayed in the media as a rival to Snoop’s West Coast home, Death Row Records. However, the two shared a profound mutual respect before Wallace’s tragic passing in 1997.

RBX: Born Eric Dwayne Collins, RBX is actually Snoop’s cousin. He signed to Death Row alongside Snoop in the early ’90s, setting off a heavy-hitting rap career that has spanned over three decades.

Big Reecie Cup: A crucial figure from Snoop’s day-one roots back out in Long Beach.

Who’s Stepping Into the Roles? The talent lined up for this is a wild mix of acting veterans and musical royalty:

SwayvoTwain (Michael D’Angelo Archer II): Making his major feature film debut as Biggie Smalls, SwayvoTwain is a rising singer-songwriter represented by Mannie House. He comes from hip-hop royalty as the son of legendary artists D’Angelo and Angie Stone. His own genre-blending music—including tracks like “DoveSoar”—pulls from Southern soul and R&B.

Bentley Green: Taking on the role of RBX, Green is a seasoned actor who got his start as a child star playing a young Michael Jackson on Epic Rap Battles of History. Since then, he has built an impressive resume, starring in AMC’s 61st Street and Hulu’s White Men Can’t Jump remake.

G Perico will play Big Reecie Cup,  Perico is a Los Angeles rapper and actor whose credits include Kings of L.A., Queen of Manhattan and She Ball, as well as music placements across HBO and Hulu programming. He is represented by Hustle Rite Consulting.

Universal Pictures has officially scheduled the Snoop Dogg biopic to hit theaters on August 6, 2027.
