The trial has wrapped and Duane ‘Keffe D’ Davis has been found guilty of murder in the death of Tupac Shakur.

Closing arguments were heard Monday morning and early afternoon, wrapping just before 2 p.m. The jury returned its verdict less than three hours later.

Davis is guilty of orchestrating Tupac Shakur’s shooting on the Las Vegas Strip on Sept. 7, 1996. He died several days later on Sept. 13.

Sentencing will take place on Oct. 13 at 10:30 a.m.

On Monday, during closing arguments, the defense pointed to police corruption, an attorney who, years ago, didn’t have Davis’s best interests in mind, and a lack of hard evidence placing him at the scene.

Meanwhile, prosecutors pointed to repeated admissions by Davis, placing himself at the drive-by shooting on Sept. 6, 1996, and admitting to taking part in the murder without pulling the trigger himself.

At one point during closing arguments, there was a brief break. Davis’s attorney said that Davis was not feeling well, and he was seen repeatedly coughing and clearing his throat.

The courtroom was packed on Monday with several members from both Tupac Shakur’s family and Davis’s family in attendance.  S: 8 NEWS VEGAS
