Denzel Curry releases the album version of King Of The Mischievous South. Earlier this summer, Denzel Curry released his King of the Mischievous South Vol. 2 mixtape, the official sequel to the mixtape and sound that helped launch his career. Now in its final form, the album features a reconfigured tracklist and 5 new songs, including “STILL IN THE PAINT” featuring Bktherula and Lazer Dim 700, released a couple of weeks ago. In addition to Bk and Lazer, the final album boasts new features from 454, Duke Deuce, Sauce Walka, Key Nyata, and more. Last night, Denzel shared a new music video for the melodic standout solo cut “GOT ME GEEKED,” which sounds like nothing Denzel has ever released.
Given the project’s sound and the homage it pays to the musical heritages of the South — from Memphis to Houston and Curry’s own South Florida — its features include the region’s greats, both old and new, as well as others whose style is indebted to the South’s musical legacy. Memphis veteran stalwarts Juicy J and Project Pat, along with Duke Deuce, Texas’ Sauce Walka, Maxo Kream, Slim Guerilla, That Mexican OT, and Mike Dimes, North Carolina’s TiaCorine, Georgia’s 2 Chainz, Lazer Dim 700, and Kenny Mason and Central Florida’s 454, Ski Mask The Slump God and PlayThatBoiZay, as well as Ty Dolla $ign, Armani White, A$AP Ferg and A$AP Rocky all make appearances across King Of The Mischievous South.
