L.A. Reid’s Hitco Teams Up With Pilgrim Media

L.A. Reid and Charles Goldstuck’s Hitco Entertainment has inked a deal to team up with Craig Piligian’s Pilgrim Media Group to develop and produce music-focused, audio-visual projects for distribution across all platforms.

The agreement includes two projects already in development – an untitled documentary covering the rise of the Atlanta music scene, and a series tentatively titled Take the Lead.

The untitled Atlanta music scene project is documentary chronicling the birth and ascent of hip-hop and R&B music in Atlanta, GA, and the music stars who have emerged from it.

L.A-based Hitco and Pilgrim are also developing Take the Lead (working title), a music competition format that ‘aims to build the next major music act’.

“We’re beyond thrilled to partner with Craig and the innovative content creators at Pilgrim,” said Reid and Goldstuck.

“Given their diverse portfolio of programming and Craig’s unparalleled experience as an industry pioneer, we’re looking forward to the launch of our television business, which we see as a continuation of our many years of experience developing and producing cross-platform content.”

Said Piligian, “In all respects, L.A. and Charles have each made a tremendous impact on music. We are excited to be working with them to push the boundaries of the music programming genre with these projects and more to come.”

Hitco was founded by Reid and Goldstuck earlier this year. The company has already signed artists including Big Boi (Outkast) and Dinah Jane (Fifth Harmony), amongst others.

Charles Goldstuck is a well-known investor in music and tech circles. He is also the founder of The Sanctuary at Albany, a state-of-the-art recording studio and music academy in the Bahamas.
