Xavier Omär – “Take Her Love” Video + New Album “HunnyMoon Mountain”
Xavier Omär, the acclaimed R&B vocalist, producer, and songwriter, is back with HunnyMoon Mountain. This emotionally immersive album, released via RBC/BMG, is a testament to Omär’s honesty and innovation in alternative R&B. It’s his most vulnerable work yet, a sonic journey through the intricate web of love, heartbreak, and commitment.
Upon the album’s release, Xavier Omär released the Reggae-tinged track “Take Her Love,” which is perfect for Summer and speaks to having love and taking love for granted.
Set against a desert backdrop, the video captures the chaos behind how we sometimes destroy the very love we crave. Xavier Omär states in the song: I told my baby I didn’t need her — that was foolish. Lost my head like a two-seater with no roof. Now she won’t let me back to apologize. She said, ‘I don’t care to hear any more of your lies.’ It’s a visual reflection of self-sabotage in the middle of love.
Anchored by standout tracks like the album’s official debut single release “Afraid, Pt. 2″—a follow-up to the 2017 release “Afraid”—the soulful duet “Little Mistakes,” the emotionally gripping “Peace In My Mind,” and the lush “Love Again,” HunnyMoon Mountain features vocal contributions from Jai’len Josey, Divine Lightbody, Xenia Manasseh, and Samoht. DJ Camper, J. Robb, Southpaw Swade, and Gareth Donkin, amongst others, handled production.
“The album begins at the midpoint of the mountain, when the going gets tough. But it’s the climb that defines the story,” shares Omär. “It’s a testament to the struggle for connection, even when surrender seems like the easier path.” This resilience and determination narrative will inspire listeners on their own journeys.
