Flint, Michigan’s own RMC Mike makes a powerful comeback with Like Mike, his first solo project in nearly two years, released today via M I N E Entertainment / EMPIRE.
The album features the recently released standout single, “We The Ones,” and the triumphant Midwest posse cut, “Braggin Rights,” highlighting frequent Flint collaborators Rio Da Yung OG and YN Jay, Chicago firestarter VonOff1700, and Motor City mainstay Baby Money. Also appearing on the project are dynamic West Memphis rapper YTB Fatt and Lansing’s 3200 Tre.
The 12-track project delivers Mike’s signature blend of grit, humor, and unfiltered storytelling over hard-knocking, trademark production from Michigan architect, Wayne616. From the slick, tongue-in-cheek energy of “Neat Freak” to the truth-telling testimonial track, “Authentic,” Like Mike showcases both Mike’s range and staying power. The project traces his rise from Flint’s streets to a certified name in Midwest rap, further stamping his presence as one of the most respected voices out of the region.
A part of the Flint rap movement since its inception, Mike teamed up with childhood friend Rio Da Yung OG on a critically acclaimed three-part mixtape series: Dumb and Dumb3r (2019), Dum and Dumber Too (2019), and Dum N Dumbber 3 (2021). These projects set the stage for both artists’ rising success—together and as solo acts—and led to Mike’s own releases including Sophomore Season (2020), Junior Season (2022), and Senior Season (2023).
