London On Da Track, the Atlanta-based producer most known for working with artists like Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan and Gucci Mane, has signed with United Talent Agency, Billboard is reporting. The agency will represent London, whose real name is London Holmes, in all areas around the globe.
The 27-year-old, who doubles as a rapper as well, began producing for local artists in 2011, eventually working with MCs like Waka Flocka Flame, Travis Porter and Rich Kidz, among others. But it was his association with Young Thug — who voices London’s signature producer tag — that kicked his career into the mainstream in the summer of 2014, when London suddenly became one of the most sought-after producers in hip-hop. That summer, London landed his first three tracks on the Hot 100, all of which were collaborations with Thug: Tyga’s “Hookah,” which peaked at No. 85; T.I.’s “About The Money,” which peaked at No. 42; and “Lifestyle” by Rich Gang, the short-lived trio of Thug, Quan and Birdman, which climbed to No. 16.
That success led to further collaborations with Thug on the latter’s Barter 6 album, as well as production work for the likes of Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Drake, Jeezy, Gucci, Lil Durk and French Montana, among a slew of others. In August 2017, London signed a record deal with RCA as a solo artist, promising “to show the fans my versatility.” More recent credits include the Drake and 21 Savage collaboration “Sneakin,'” which reached No. 28 on the Hot 100; and Kodak Black’s “Roll In Peace,” featuring XXXTentacion, which climbed to No. 31.
London also has his own label, L.I.V., and released the song “No Flag” with Nicki Minaj, Savage and Offset last year. In signing with UTA, London joins a fast-growing hip-hop-centric roster that now includes Thug, Vic Mensa, Jeezy and, most recently, Dave East, who signed last month. Source: Billboard
