Today, Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Hailey Knox shares her new single “Truce.” Blending her signature laid-back R&B sound paired with angelic vocals, the song sets the scene of two lovers caught between love and war, ultimately calling a truce and realizing that the battle isn’t worth sacrificing their relationship. The new single hints at more to come.
Last year, Hailey released her debut EP For The Best which has garnered nearly 10M streams to date. One of the most talked about emerging talents of 2024, the eight-track project showcased Hailey’s candid lyrical prose and fine-tuned pop R&B production. The EP contained singles “11th Hour,” “Double Tragedy,” and “On Nothing,” as well as an alternate version of the song “Stranger, featuring a more stripped-down instrumental. For The Best showed off Hailey’s songwriting and production skills as she crafts songs with her guitar and a trusty loop pedal. She’s made a strong connection with fans, and impressed her peers, with intimate videos she posts that let viewers into her creative process and demonstrate how she builds her songs piece by piece. Ultimately, For The Best is a labor of love. “When you listen, I hope the love and care I put into the music is received,” she says.
From the time she picked up a guitar at age 7, music has always kept her grounded. “Being in touch with my creative side has always helped me feel sane,” she explains. “Once I write a song, I feel like I’m fulfilling my purpose—and not going crazy!” Hailey processes life in real-time through her artistry, layering her truth with gentle acoustic strumming, steady beat-craft, and cathartic vocals.
