The grassroots campaign involves a number of strategies including organizing local events, hosting rallies, and collaborating with local activists and organizations. By uniting the community and raising awareness about the issue, the campaign hopes to change the vicious cycle of violence which plagues the city.

Mayor Randall recounts losing two cousins to gun violence within 4 months of each other, as well as his brother, which Big Yavo can relate to with his own losses. Both men are determined to make a difference for their community, their families, and most importantly, the younger generation of kids growing up in and around Birmingham.
