Aminé returns to share the studio version of his new single “Arc de Triomphe.” The song comes on the heels of Aminé announcing the May 16th release of 13 Months of Sunshine, his long-awaited third full-length solo LP and follow-up to his 2020 album Limbo. Aminé has stayed busy in the years between, releasing his TWOPOINTFIVE mixtape in 2021 and acclaimed, collaborative full length KAYTRAMINÉ with KAYTRANADA in 2023, debuting multiple pairs of sneakers he has designed as part of his ongoing collaboration with New Balance, embarking on 2022’s The Best Tour Ever Tour and launching his inaugural hometown festival The Best Day Ever in Portland in 2024.
13 Months of Sunshine was led by “Familiar,” a song that sees Aminé diving fully into the dance-leaning production he first ventured into with TWOPOINTFIVE and explored further over the course of KAYTRAMINÉ. With the assistance of longtime producer Pasqué and heavyweights Loukeman, Buddy Ross and Jim-E Stack, “Familiar” set the stage and “Arc de Triomphe” further illuminates the forthcoming album’s direction. The Lido-assisted song features an iconic sample of The Streets’ “Has It Come To This?” and a skipping, two-step beat.
