Singer-songwriter and producer Amaria announces her forthcoming debut album Free Fallin’ due October 11th. Accompanying the news, Amaria shares the latest taste of the album with new single “Finer Things,” showcasing her lush vocals and the collision of ‘90s R&B and contemporary neo-soul that embodies her sound. On “Finer Things” Amaria maintains an unhurried prose with a production style that reimagines elements from those early 90’s visionaries like Aaliyah and Janet Jackson. The single is imbued with sensual lyrics and trance-inducing background vocals that showcase a more self-realized and mature musical undertaking.

“The main theme of the album, represented by the name, is the idea of going through different life experiences with no safety net,” Amaria says of the concept behind the album. “Letting life take you whichever way it wants — essentially ‘free falling.'”

Amaria has a modern sound that builds on the understated, engrossing aspects of neo-soul, as mastered by the likes of Erykah Badu and Sade. The Tampa native, now based in LA, made her debut on New Year’s Day 2020 with her self-produced single “Morning,” a daring first step from the then-teenage singer. The single was followed by a steady flow of singles and collaborations, along with 2021 EP Bittersweet, and 2022’s All For You EP. Having toured with notable contemporary alternative R&B artists like UMI, Mac Ayers and Destin Conrad (with whom she collaborated on her EP track “All For You” and joined on a 30+ tour run earlier this year), Amaria successfully sold out her first-ever headline show last November in Los Angeles.
