“When writing “Fair Game”, I wanted to kind of free will it; meaning I wanted the pen to just may glide metaphorically, and figuratively go wherever it saw fit, like a paint brush. The result was a song about reflection, realizing who and what you are verses what you have accomplished in life, knowing the field you’re in is always a game, and regardless of how it’s played, it’s supposed to be all fair game, so you play by those rules and fight to win via those terms.
For me personally, everything I do is with the hopes of my son reaping the benefits of it, so for my fan base who may see me as underrated and deserving of more, my serenity comes from pushing for my son to double up on any wins I have and to get the success that others may have seen for me. As long as my son gets it all, I’m elated. That’s where the pen started and ended at on this song. In the end, it’s all fair game. “
